Alice is 4 months old now and changing daily. She is becomming her own little person, very demanding and cheeky, and likes nothing more than to be held facing outwards taking it all in. She weighs 15lb 4oz and is possibly teething, with her flushed cheeks, gnawing and dribbling. She has also had a bit of a growth spurt this week and has been feeding every 2 hours during the day! She is sitting on her own...almost, and her beached whale impression is improving loads. She is a gem!

In the mud- twice
We decided to go for a family walk to Ringstead Bay this afternoon. Toby carried Alice and I was in charge of Otto. Our grand plans for a hike along the coastal path were cut short due to all the rain we had had the day before. We trudged through the thick mud for a short while and then decided, after I had fallen over twice, to head acoss the fields instead

Always look on the bright side of life!
It has been one of those days today, lots of dirty nappies, no lunchtime sleep, desperate cries when feeding and emptying of the recycling bin! There are times when it feels like there are 2 children at home only, unlike most older siblings, Otto is not very helpful. When Alice was crying he thought that it would be really useful if he went and raided the recycling. He trotted back into the lounge proudly carrying his yoghurt container and laid it on his cushion. Needless to say this did nothing to stop the crying!! Despite all of this Alice has been a real bundle of giggles and has found the funny side of everything, even my last attempts to get her to sleep in her cot at 3.30pm (check out the video and decide yourself if she slept!!!!).
(On a positive note it is 7.30pm and after a few 'somewhere over the rainbow's' she has gone quiet..ish)

a tiny bit of snow!
Although the rest of the country is enjoying plenty of snow, it's a bit thin on the ground here. But that didn't stop us all from enjoying a brisk walk in the snow...and as you can see Otto loves it! (Video is a bit misleading, it was not that dark!)
