row row and twinkle twinkle
Alice adores nursery rhymes and sings them all the time. Here she is with a mash up of row row row your boat and twinkle twinkle little star first thing in the morning after waking up in her cot. You may notice some actions with twinkle twinkle, like the diamond with her hands. She is also experimenting with volume, as you will see when she returns to row row row your boat. And in case you're not sure what she says at the end "bumped me 'and"! Love our little girl.

Holdiay in April
We had a fantastic weeks holiday staying in nana Holland's flat on the Isle of Wight. Despite it being April we had some lovely days of sunshine, with a few cooler ones too. Alice loved spending time on the beach, a short walk from the flat, and seeing all the animals at the zoo, Amazon World and Donkey sanctuary. Of course we had to visit the model village, without a doubt the best attraction ever, more so for the fact that it hasn't change since going as a child.

a few day trips this year
It's been a busy 2011 so far so here's a quick round up of some of the things we've been up too. With our new sealife centre annual passes (a bargin with tokens out of the paper) we all headed to Weymouth on a chilly day to check out the underwater delights. Alice loved the penguins, seals and the underwater tunnel with sharks and turtles swimming over her head. She was also thrilled with the many puddles!

The following day we headed to Upton country park with the dog. We took a lovely stroll along the boardwalk, until Otto decided to go for a swim! Alice fed the ducks, although was rather reluctant to throw the old bread in the water, preferring to sample the duck food herself. And she had a good run around in the leaves. Alice never stands still so getting a lovely shot of her is impossible!

With our other season ticket to Kingston Maurward animal park and gardens Alice and I went to see the animals and feed the chickens and geese.

What kind of child...?
Where did January go? Life just plods along and although Alice is up to so much and changing every day I very rarely have a camera on me to capture it.
So now she is fast approaching the official toddler (18months) what kind of little person is she going to become? Shy and graceful or spirited, chatty and a cheeky monkey? I fear it may be the latter!
