sleep- anywhere, anytime!

My impression of Otto!

Oh look, my blanket!

"If I go really small they won't notice me"

Ready for action!

When looking for photos of Alice I spotted one of Otto curled up asleep on a blanket that I had put on the floor (cosy, he thought). So here is a collection of sleepy photos of Otto. You will notice that most are on the sofa!!

grandparents and greats!

Alice is very lucky to have a big and loving family, full of grandparents and great grandparents. She is looking forward to Christmas time and having a cuddle with them all again. grandad, nanny, Mimy and Dip

look, no movement

This last week Alice and I have been settling in to a day time routine. This involves a good long nap after our 10ish feed in the morning. Alice loves to sleep on the move, strapped to me or Toby, pushed around in the buggy, rocking in her bouncy chair, in the car or swaying around the lounge over our shoulder. However today we have managed to have a sleep completely still in our basket, which means that mummy can have a rest too!

say cheese

Alice at 8 weeks old
This last week Alice has started to really smile at me and Toby. I am sure it is a clever trick of nature to make sure you don't lose the will to live after 8 weeks of sleep deprived nights. The other morning I peered into her basket and she beamed at me...shortly followed by a 'ok, where's my breakfast?' cry. Had to include a short video of Alice and her mobile. She has 2 and loves staring at them, particulary the yellow duck...

Visit from the O'Connors

Sarah "Can I hold Alice now?"

In October half term (yes a while ago) Louloubelle, Danny and the girls spent the week in a cottage 15minutes from our house. It was Alice's first meet of her Aunty Louise, Uncle Danny and her cousins Mairead, Sarah and Mary. The weather was great for the time of year so we had a picnic at Lulworth Cove and a lovely walk along the river at Cerne Abbas.

Alice's first 8 weeks

She's a dedicated follower of fashion!...
not tecnically an outfit but Alice would have to disagree as this is her favourite day wear, in fact she really can not see the point of getting dressed at all and lets me know the only way she can (the crying doen not stop till the last sock is on!)
Alice's entry for the sleepwear category is her cheeky monkey grobag. Hopefully she will one day associate this attire with sleep!

In bathtime wear we have...
My favouirte outfit for the 'misfit' category. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I like dressing my daughter up in odd combo's but there is something so cute about the look that I think it has to be the winning outfit! (Plus Alice could get the part of Big foot!)

Casual wear- a towel! simple yet effective at keeping you warm and dry

And finally in the fancy dress competition...the snowman!

There have been lots of first's for Alice in her first 8 weeks in the world

first time in her bouncy chair, which she loves

first sleep in her basket

getting dressed

burping- a big part of Alice's day!

First walk

First time in her pram

Alice was 8 weeks old on Monday. She now weighs a healthy 12lb 7oz and is 61 cm long. She had her first lot of injections yesterday, much to her delight. However she cried no more than when she is getting dressed or needs burping when she is still hungry!

Trip to Studland

We took our first family trip to the seaside yesterday, Studland. Alice slept the whole time but I'm sure she enjoyed the sea air and Otto went completely loopy as he loves to run on sand. He was even brave enough to have a paddle!
